Support of sustainable projects

The PHW Group also assumes social responsibility through the Heinz Lohmann Foundation. Since 1997, this non-profit-making foundation has concentrated on questions regarding the future of nutrition and eating habits and sees itself as forging a link between science, agriculture and the consumer.

A large proportion of its work lies in promoting scientific research in universities and institutes. The foundation supports graduate and post-graduate students researching subject areas within the scope of the foundation’s work and supports sustainable projects dealing with nutritional issues – for instance better food in schools.

The quality of nutrition is an important issue

The foundation regularly conducts consumer surveys on nutritional knowledge and commissions studies. Nutritional symposia initiated by the foundation offer a platform for communication with a view to sensitising consumers to the issue of food quality.
