In doing so, the PHW Group invests in young talent and focuses on innovative food and agricultural solutions.
For example, the PHW Group is a corporate partner of StartLife, thereby continuing its recent history of promoting start-ups and innovative ideas in addition to supporting young entrepreneurs both strategically and in partnerships. StartLife is the leading Food & AgTech accelerator in Europe, supporting start-ups with its support programmes and global network. The StartLife foundation was co-founded by the University of Wageningen in the Netherlands and has supported more than 400 start-ups in the past ten years.
In addition, the PHW Group founded Seedhouse Beteiligungs GmbH together with 27 other well-known companies in order to grow the start-up landscape in the Northwest region. In the meantime, the circle of shareholders has grown to 34 companies. However, the Seedhouse is not only a financier, but also functions like a business angel with a broad network of representatives from business, science and politics, which is unique in Germany's accelerator landscape.
