The PHW Group expands its managerial team
Rechterfeld, 15 September 2005. Changes to the Board of the PHW Group are to become effective from 1 October 2005. “The right mix of family and non-family” – that’s how Paul-Heinz Wesjohann summed up the new management format, which is a continuation of the generational change which has been underway for a number of years, and which covers the divisions handled by Board Member Harm Specht (63), who will retire at the end of the year.
Paul-Heinz Wesjohann will remain Chairman of the Board of the PHW Group. His son, Peter Wesjohann (36), who was already on the Board as the head of the leading German poultry brand WIESENHOF®, will, apart from managing the areas Marketing and Product Development, also become Director of Sales and supervise the HR and legal divisions of all the companies of the PHW Group. Doris Wesjohann (33) will join the Board as Director of Finance and Property. The Board also welcomes two other newcomers with long standing management experience: Dr Heinrich Paul Dröge (46) who will be responsible for PHW Group Controlling, Information Technology, Production Technology and “Wiesenhof” Logistics, and Adrian von Klopmann (46), who will head “Wiesenhof” Production Planning/Control, Export and the foreign interests in this area.
The new management structure is an acknowledgement of the increased size and position of the company, with a turnover of around 1.2 billion euros and almost 4000 employees, as well as the growing internationalisation of the business sectors.
